Bio Jack Kirlin

Jack Kirlin started as a volunteer firefighter with Ridgeville Volunteer Fire Department in 1991.  He worked his way up to the position of Fire Chief before the department consolidated into Dorchester County Fire Rescue, a countywide fire department in which he continued as a Volunteer District Chief.  In 2019 Jack was hired as Battalion Chief with Dorchester County Fire Rescue.  Jack attended the South Carolina Firefighters’ Association Leadership Institute in 2017 and remains active through South Carolina Firefighters’ Association as an advocate for volunteer firefighters.  Jack serves as one of our State’s Directors for the National Volunteer Fire Council since 2018.  Jack is married to Donna his bride since 1991 and has one daughter Sara.
