Clemson Ag Safety Program announces Grain Rescue Device map

May 7, 2025

The Clemson Agricultural Safety Program announced its Grain Rescue Device map that includes a list and statewide map of available resources. The map is the result of collaboration between Clemson Agricultural Safety Program, Clemson Extension, Clemson University's College of Agriculture, Forestry & Life Sciences, South Carolina Farm Bureau Federation, and fire departments and rescue squads across the state.
Although the state averages 3 grain entrapments a year, many departments are taking preventative measures and training on grain bin entrapments. The Grain Rescue Device resource aims to reduce the time required to rescue an entrapped victim.
If you receive or purchase a grain rescue device, please contact Shelley Lovern at [email protected] to have your device added to the map or complete the survey.
